Dita Von Teese Makeup Tutorial

Dita Von Teese looks like a porcelain doll straight out the the 1940's, her alabaster completion contrasts heavily with the blue red lips and dark winged liner.

Products and Process:

  • MAC studio fix concealer NC20 under eyes and over any blemishes
  • Add white illamasqua foundation to kiko to keep skin very pale
  • translucent powder all over face as she is very matte
  • illamasqua pink powder blusher  very lightly to apples of the cheeks
  • Naked Palette 1 eyeshadow inner corner
  • Naked Palette 2 snakebite lightly and blended well across crease
  • Thick winged liner only on the top, maybeline gel liner and angle brush
  • find darkest brown powder, apply to brows with angle brush making sure they are dark and quite dramatic but with a perfect arch
  • Apply very natural lashes with longer flick edge lashes and apply mascara to blend your own lashes, and apply to lower lashes very sparingly
  • Line lips with maybeline red liner and apply MAC ruby woo
  • Light spray of makeup fixer to finish

Video Editing
I managed to get down approximately 20 minutes of filming to 2 minutes 52 seconds of footage, it took forever but I am happy with the result!

Strengths

  • The final look came out much better then expected! Very Dita-esque
  • it is very simple and quick look to do
  • managed to pale down the skin well

Weaknesses
  • The lighting could have been better
  • failed to record the lip and mascara application! stupid!
  • the lip application was a bit rushed and could have been better
